CECT-Chinacomm Gains 3.5GHz Licenses in China

CECT-Chinacomm, one of the largest telecom in China, has obtained 3.5GHz licenses from the Chinese government to deploy networks in 25 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. This company plans to construct wireless broadband networks across the nation within the next three years. Currently, CECT-Chinacomm has tested 3.5G point-to-multipoint access, 5.8GHz point-to-point and point-to-multipoint access, WiFi hot spot access, and WiMAX wireless access in specific regions.
